Kids Clothing: How To Choose Kids Clothing
Have you noticed that how a child is dressed has some contribution to the person he or she will turn out to be in the future? Dress your child like a ‘maid’ and they will begin to feel depressed and abnormal! Obviously, your kid will begin to feel as if other kids are better than him or her and this might possibly set the person into a low self esteem. On the other hand, if you dress your kids like kings, princes or princesses, they will behave exactly normal and have nothing to worry about except being as perfect as you want them to be. Of course, at that age they may not be able to select which cloth design or style is best for school party, playground, night out for dinner, etc. This is your job and you must do it right knowing that you are not just doing this for now, but to secure their social life.
Selecting Kids Clothing
Selecting clothes for your kids might be very challenging. Many people are already used to buying off the rack and they may never get anything other than the ‘one-size-all’ outfits worn by millions of other kids out there. Buying for kids and children at school can be more demanding. First, you need to get a cloth that will last longer. And secondly, you need to get a cloth that your kid likes; otherwise it might result to more distress.
There are, however, other things you must consider while buying kids clothing and they include:
The Season: Don’t buy clothes that are out of season. As we all know, spring is always the time for new beginnings; news things come into the market, plants spring up new leaves and people make new beginnings and rekindle the love in their families, and relationships. It would be a crime if your kid is stuck with the old wardrobe during spring. You have to bring the ‘finger print’ of the season to your kid’s wardrobe. These shouldn’t be hard to do, shop for new designs and patterns to add up to your kid’s wardrobe. And ensure that there are clothes that will take care of your kid during cold weather and hot weather. This is how you get your child prepared for the season, providing the clothes not only for them to look admirable but also to take care of them during harsh weather conditions yet keeping them seasonal, stylish and allowing them to express their personality.
Size: It is true you know the size of your kid but most often the kids’ clothes you will see in the market are not sown with his or her measurement. This doesn’t mean you should allow your kids to wear them like that. Imagine where your child will have to be adjusting the hand of a garment while walking on the road, in the school or while doing any other thing. This is why you have to ensure that any cloth you bought for your kid is perfect for his or her body. If not, have them tailored to suit their body tone and structure.

Fast Fashion Facts
Flashback! Nearly four decades back – lifestyle fashion stores were all the frenzy in the sixties where clothing retailers like Biba and Habitat offered great collection for the young consumers. They displayed model lifestyles lines and made buyers think “which one is better for me?” Most clothing retailers joined the league for the up and coming era of seventies like Marks & Spencer and Mothercare followed by the major player ‘Next’ in the eighties, which were largely preferred.
Meanwhile, the major Italian player ‘Benetton’ marched on high street with, offering colorful designer clothing for the whole family. Their strategy resulted affirmative with noticeably contemporary window showcase in all stores with independent units. The company was successful in Britain, however, having a long standing in the market, they witnessed failure to keep up pace with the accelerated high fashion pressure by the other European competitors, which are now the known as Mango, H&M and Zara.
The rise of these competitors on high street has been witness successful because of a higher demand for fast fashion. Styles showed in magazines and other advertorials are what people wish to wear. Top designers have created collection extensions, which cater people who can afford to spend their hard earned cash on triple figure. This resulted success to the affordable collection of European fashion brands
A Swedish player, H&M offered readymade clothing stores – stocked with fashionable collection at reasonable costs. Its successful strategy was its own slogan ‘fashion & quality at the best price’ innovative design, reasonably priced and competent logistics. Based in Stockholm, a team of 100 fashion designers assures that nothing has been imitated from the runway platforms. They are mostly inspired from street-trends, movies, magazines and exhibitions. Impressively, the designs reach retail shelves within 2-3 weeks. H&M’s high profile designer tie-ups with Karl Lagerfield and Stella McCartney have resulted entire collections available to the mass people at lower prices. This strategy is supported by huge advertising campaigns, which easily compete with the major brands.
In a world of advertisements and promotions, there is one store that has made strategy to not to spend penny on advertising, “Zara”, a wing of Europe’s biggest, rapidly evolving and most triumphant fashion clothing retailers, Grupo Inditex. Other well popular stores in similar chain are Massimo Dutti, Bershka and Pull and Bear. Inditex operates business via more than two thousand stores in 56 countries. The first Zara shop was launched in 1975 at La Coruna, Galicia and at present it operates more than four hundred owned stores globally. In the previous five years they have witnessed sales up by 25 percent year on year.
Zara runs its own design and production unit in La Coruna, Spain, which leads cancellation of the large out-sourcing operations, like H&M does in over nine hundred firms. It is modern, offering up-to-date lifestyle yet standard clothing lines for men, women and children. Zara offers reasonably priced, radical clothing, however, not of the top quality, which will last only for some seasons.
As same as Zara, H&M can also put designs on retail shelves within three weeks. Its product assortment is cheap and small yet frequent, offering consumers huge selection that results repeated visits to their stores to find “What’s New”. Hitherto, Zara has launched over ten thousand new designs and most of these will just be attainable for few weeks.
Another Spanish player, Mango is a reputed multinational brand devoted to designing, producing and selling fast fashion and accessories only for women. Its clothing line includes Suit, Casual Sport, and Mng Jeans. It might not be as huge as H&M or Grupo Inditex, but has played excellent particularly in the UK.
No shopping malls resemble absolute with exclusive of these three brands. The pace of these companies in responding to changing consumer demands is an ideal proof to the retailing, producing and logistics skills needed in latest fashion industry. These new strategies are set up to develop aptitude to take advantage of the challenges of a competitive world market.
Besides the diversification in product assortments there is one thing common in all these brands that is “intelligent logistics”. Well-organized communication between sales staff directly to the headquarters and producers lead them to match steps with high speed turnover.
The fact is that buyers are becoming preference savvy and smarter in order to what they shop. Even though they always have their preferred designer, they are also acquainted that a throwaway piece of fast fashion from a retail chain store will complete their outfit choices. At so reasonably priced all of these retail perceptions play on Friday nights when people feels they have nothing to wear.
Retailers are sent in a scuffle to make-out the major catwalk trends from the drawing sheets to the sales shelves as fast as possible.

2010 has been an interesting year for fashion. This is the year where the press criticized celebrity baby Suri Cruise for wearing expensive designer kid’s clothing. This is the year where designer brands began to actively produce clothes for children-as there seems to be a market for expensive kid’s clothing. This is the year where children and adults alike explored the potentials of fashion from another culture-with Japanese and Korean fashion being in the forefront of the kid’s clothing and adult clothing fashion trends. And the year has not even ended!
So what can people expect for the year 2011? It’s not too early to tell: after all, designers and clothing companies release their clothing lines early. The likes of Ducci and even lesser known brands such as Ouef Eco have already shown their 2011 designs, among many others. What prominent trends can be seen from these early kid’s clothing releases?
Perhaps the most prominent trend to surge for the year 2011 is the theme of practical luxury or elegance for kid’s clothing. Again, this is a trend that probably stemmed from the “Suri Cruise effect,” wherein children want to wear designer clothes and parents want to dress their children in design brands. However, the clothing companies are gunning for something appropriate for kids despite its designer-luxury trappings. These designer kid’s clothing items will be comfortable and will steer away from styles that are inappropriate for the toddler and pre-teen set.
Of course, don’t expect these “practical luxuries” to be practically priced.
The eco-conscious theme will also become prominent in 2011, sipping its way from the adult runway to the kid’s clothing industry. Expect kid’s clothing pieces made from highly sustainable materials such as bamboo, organic cotton, and other similar fabrics. In short: frivolous is out, environmental trends are in.
Fashion pundits are already proclaiming the year 2011 as the year when the 80s rocker look returns. Expect this influence to become apparent in kid’s clothing-or at least in teen and pre-teen clothing. Don’t expect kid’s clothing to incorporate the leather and the highly sexualized look of 80s rock, although many will see the disgruntled, mixed and matched styles that the 80s made popular.
Because of this, Japanese-inspired kid’s clothing will become a bigger hit in 2011. This fashion aesthetic somewhat adheres to the concept of 80s fashion-clothes and accessories that shouldn’t match but go well together anyway, the somewhat mature Victorian-inspired dresses, the exotic Lolita-styled dresses made innocent and child-like (and therefore safe yet cute).
For girl’s fashion, expect dresses with flowing fabrics. This trend, which is more apparent in countries such as Australia and United Kingdom, is likely to be incorporated in kid’s clothing-a far cry from the current trend of flesh showing for women’s fashion. What not to expect in kid’s clothing in 2011: velvet. Many fashion journalists are already seeing velvet as a major material in some of the biggest designs for next year-but it’s unlikely that this material will enter the kid’s clothing scene.
It goes without saying that the year 2011 is still several months away-anything can happen in the world of kid’s clothing.

fashion clothingKids Clothing Stores Are Too Expensive
Everyone is aware that kids clothing stores are perhaps the worst place in the world to take your children. They are, of course, set up as traps for parents. The stores are attractive to kids so that they drag their helpless parents into them, and within a few minutes, you find out you are paying an arm and a leg for a tiny little outfit.
All kids clothing stores are the same when you go to the mall. The lights are bright, the colors are vivid, and the prices are too high. It is amazing that parents are willing to pay the same high price for kids clothes that they do for their own. Even though a baby’s outfit has just a little bit of fabric, you pay as much for it as you would for a garment that is three or four times its size.
If you have children, then in this economy, you absolutely have to find a way to get great clothes – the same clothes that are in the kids clothing stores in the mall – at a much better price. Luckily, there are online kids clothing wholesalers that will help you with that. You may think that a wholesaler would not sell to an individual, or would not sell individual items, but you would be wrong. There are online wholesale clothing companies that are just waiting for you to come knocking on their virtual doors.
The online wholesalers that sell the same clothes as the kids clothing stores you usually frequent will allow you to buy the same up-to-date styles, the same big name brands, and the latest clothes that your kids love at a fraction of the cost. When you are getting this big of a discount, there is no reason not to outfit your entire family.

Fashion Accessories For Kids
There are various fashion accessories that help make the whole outfit come together and look stylish. Some accessories are necessary, whereas some are for the sheer fun of it. There are many accessories-only stores to meet the demands of all clients and the increase in different trends in the fashion industry.
Let’s look at some of the fashion accessories that are making waves in the kid’s fashion industry and are a must have.
Caps and Hats
Starting at the top of the body, caps and hats are an essential addition to your child’s wardrobe. Not only do they protect them during summer and winter, but also look chic and stylish. For girls you get stylish hats in various materials, like knit, plaid, felt, etc. Nowadays these hats even have funky accessories on them, like flowers and cut-outs. Vintage hats have made a strong comeback for young ladies. Boys love their bright coloured caps, especially the ones sporting their favourite team’s logo.
Sunglasses
Sunglasses fitted with UV protected glass are required today, especially with the increase in the sun’s damaging rays. Sunglasses are made in trendy styles and colours to suit your child’s personality and style.
Jewellery
Jewellery is not worn only by young girls, but boys are seen sporting these trinkets, too. Jewellery for girls includes necklaces, earrings, bracelets, anklets and rings, and for boys includes thick chains, earring studs, rings and thick bracelets.
Belts
A colourful or studded belt can automatically jazz up a dull and boring outfit. Girls can experiment with bright colours, sparkles and diamantes on the belts. There are different styles, too, like the high waist belt worn over a plain shirt or dress or a low waist belt worn on a long top and leggings or on jeans. Boys can experiment, too, with studded belts or can stick to the basic ones. You can get belts in various fabrics today that can change the whole look of an outfit.
Watches
Watches, especially from good brands, make a very good style statement. Watches can be in funky colours or can be basic steel or leather. Either way, they not only tell time, but add a cool quotient to your outfit.
Wallets & Bags
Wallets are a little uncommon accessory for young kids, but today as the pocket money keeps increasing, your children need a place to store it. Funky colourful and printed wallets can be very stylish. For girls, wallets matching to their purses look very cool and for boys, cool graffiti art wallets look smashing. Bags are equally important, may it be a small beaded purse or a stylish knapsack for a young boy; they all are necessary to complete the outfit.
Footwear
Coming to the bottom of the body at the feet, even young boys and girls need stylish footwear when stepping out of the house. Girls can wear strappy sandals with flat or very small heels or small wedge heels, too. There are funky sneakers for both girls and boys. Boys can wear open toed sandals or lace up or slide on shoes. Shoes come in different colours and materials, too, to give your child that much needed variety.
